In Chicago
May. 30th, 2004 08:03 pmBill and I are in Chicago. I don't really have internet access here, just awkward AOL dial-up of his mom's. We'll be here until mid-day Tuesday; Bill's uncle died and that's the funeral.
For those following the Young Adam Movie scheduling, we're thinking of Wednesday night, 7 pm, the State Theater.
It's so easy to forget how tiring and stiffening the car ride from Ann Arbor to here is. On the way over, Bill read a car magazine. Now he's pointed out that the Mazda RX-8 has an automatic option. It's got a lower redline, of course, but it also costs less and with my left knee and right shoulder injuries, I'm feeling like I have to switch to an automatic. I read the article he did and it does look good, though I'm not familiar with rear-wheel drive. I've been looking for a small maneuverable car with good interior access and the way the doors swing out the RX-8 has that. I don't want to feel like a copycat, Mike, but I think we're going to test-drive one.
then I just have to get a salary to pay for it... ;)
