Fusion dance event Friday at the Grange
May. 29th, 2008 01:30 pmMy friend Dan writes:
We are beginning a new dance series tomorrow night called the "Fifth Friday Fusion Dance." In it you will find a "kaleidoscopic evening of dancing across a broad spectrum of styles." If all goes well, we will include at some point in the evening Contra, English Country, International, Scandinavian, Swing, and maybe a little Klezmer dancing. Dance to your old favorites and try something new. It's like dim sum for your feet!
As this is a new dance series, it is very important for us to have a good turn out. As such, I am sending out a personal plea to my friends to join us to help make this dance series successful.
Calling by Drake Meadow and Friends. (This month, we have Ray Bantle leading English Country and Pat Micks teaching international dances.)
Music by Twas Brillig and the Mazel Toves and Friends. (Special guest musician, Brad Battey will be leading some Scandinavian music after the break)
