This post about Medical Students for Choice at the March for Women's Lives reminded me that I meant to post about the Planned Parenthood's REAL Act, to promote federal funding of real sex education.

In their words,

Stop funding dangerous abstinence-only
programs
- start supporting real sex ed!

In the past 10 years, Congress has wasted more than $1 billion
on dangerous abstinence-only programs that deny teenagers vital
information about birth control and responsible decision-making
-- while approximately 750,000 U.S. teens become pregnant and
four million get a sexually transmitted infection each year. And
right now, Congress is actually considering spending another
$163 million on these dangerous programs.

It's time to stop wasting money. The vast majority of parents
support responsible, comprehensive sex education, and that's
what the Responsible Education About Life (REAL) Act is all
about. The REAL Act will provide funds for medically accurate,
age-appropriate sex education in schools. It has been introduced
in both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate,
but it needs your support!

Urge your member of Congress to stop wasting money on
abstinence-only programs and to support REAL sex education
instead.

We can’t assume leaders know both that delegation is necessary and that it is their responsibility.
