Vacation starts tomorrow (yay!)
Dec. 21st, 2006 03:04 pmI guess it's been a while since I made a completely public post. Been kind of head down, working through some things. Work is rewarding but I'm tired and I keep finding my head in the clouds. Kind of grey in the clouds. Kind of grey around here in general, isn't it? Longest night of winter though - from here on out there's more light each day.
Tomorrow Bill and I head to Chicago for a stay with his mom. It will be good to see her. Visiting Laura on Sunday is the plan, then home to Michigan Christmas day. My sister gets to town today and the fam. is coming over for dinner tonight. Just heard last night that Mary will be visiting with us from the 28th to the 1st (2nd?), so we're looking forward to that, too.
I've been starting to let people know I doubt I'm going to ConFusion. There's a workshop that weekend that was recommended to me that I might go to instead. It might be possible to get together with people from out of town before or after so ping me if you're going to be here and you want to get together. I also don't think I'll probably go to Penguicon. I have stepped down from my GoH Liaison position and have also quit the AASFA Board of Directors. I guess when I say working through some things, things should be bolded or something. They're big heavy things and they're important to me. But that's about all I'm going to say about that right now.
Anyway, a bit of a break from regular responsibilities will be welcome. Hope you're all doing rewarding things for the holidays and spending time with someone you love. I know I will be.
