(no subject)

I got some rest yesterday, napping in the sun. Then I stayed up late into the night, reading sleigh's Holder of Lightning. Only good books hold onto me like that, well past the hour when I should close my eyes. It was kind of nice reading in bed while Bill used my side for a pillow and slept.

Other highlights of the weekend included hanging around with Mary and working with her and Bill to make progress on cleaning up the basement. They cleared out most of the remaining aftermath of tearing out the central wall on the East side and creating a great room. That's the logical place for dancing on saturday night

--for all who have not yet heard, we're holding a party saturday to try and raise funds so Mary's cat puppy can have surgery. Do come; we'll have a lot of fun and it's for a good cause.
