happy new guitar string day...
Nov. 17th, 2003 08:41 amOn Saturday Bill's friend Chris came to town and we celebrated Bill's birthday. On Sunday we shopped around downtown and Chris went with me to Herb David's Guitar studio so we could celebrate new guitar string day!
--We have an old guitar that used to belong to Bill's dad. The strings we got are nylon and were stretching all day so I had to tune them every time I picked up the guitar, but that's easy since we also picked out a little guitar tuner that shows me what note I'm on and how sharp or flat it is.
I got to a very awkward rendition of Kumbaya by the end of the day. Hurray for Guitar Playing for Dummies. I had actually gotten that far two years ago when I was studying on an electric, but since then it had been a really long time since I'd worked on it. I was just commenting on that to Bill a week or so ago, so this is good timing for me.
