Darning still going...

I am really celebrating each pair of socks as they return to circulation. I asked about "darning thread" at Joanne Fabrics and was told nobody has sold it for twenty years, but try embroidery thread. This was of course not true, as an online search for darning thread demonstrates, but I really wanted to get started on my black socks (and black and red-or-blue striped socks that have black ankles, where I get holes), so I got some embroidery thread and it seems to be working pretty well.
