1. I've grown accustomed to a frequent drizzle.
2. I've gotten behind in my journal keeping (I think Brian is doing much better than me).
3. The first of three sets of batteries I brought for my camera has run down and been replaced.
4. We've had to do laundry.
5. I'll need to refill my weekly pill organizer tomorrow.

(pregnant + hypoglycemia + herpes = a lot of daily supplements, plus digestive enzymes - thank you, Martha! They're working great!)

We met more delightful fans at the Cambridge Blue Free House (pub) last night, a couple of whom we look forward to seeing again at Eastercon. We're enjoying our too brief stay with Bridget Bradshaw -- tonight we head back to London for the BSFA meeting, then catch an 11:50 overnight rail trip in a sleeper car to Edinburgh. We'll be there until Saturday, when we make our way back south to Birmingham by the end of the day. There we're staying with the Nicholls -- Anne Nicholls and I share a maiden name, Anne Gay, and have been corresponding for nearly 14 years, so it will be splendid to finally meet in person!

After that we return to the London area Monday for the period before Eastercon, staying mainly with Alison Scott and Steven Cain.

Brian has started posting his TAFF pictures here.

  • 13:32 Nice sunny day in Cambridge and just made the 5:15 nonstop rail to King's Cross. Must nap now to survive getting the 11:50 overnight later. #
  • 16:46 Interesting short discussion re Deepad's I Didn't Dream of Dragons touches diversity in sf and low translation of non-english works. #
  • 19:02 The wait for the 23:50 sleeper train to Edinburgh is greatly improved by a tall bottle of chocolate milk & Pink Floyd: Wish You Were Here. #
