Stardust: Saturday, August 11

Jeff has suggested an evening outing to see Stardust on Saturday. It comes out on Friday but I have dance on Friday anyway. Who's up for it? Do you have a preference for theaters? What time would you want to go? Dinner first? Where?

I suggested a Livonia theater to the Stilyagi list because it seems more central to ALL of SE Michigan Fandom than Ann Arbor, but I don't know who might come from over that way, so let me know if you might come and if you have a location preference.

Armed ground robots

remotely-operated ground vehicles (robots) with guns are being deployed in Iraq. How'd you like to face down a robot with an M-249 machine gun? Or a grenade launcher? The program calls them "special weapons observation remote reconnaissance direct action systems" (SWORDS). So far they have not been in a firefight. Yet.
