Bear's Ten ways to not make your editor hate you are pretty good general rules for working with people.

Last night we had an AASFA Board meeting that lasted only an hour! Yay! Beforehand I made Chicken Cacciatore, which took longer than I'd hoped, but it was yummy in the end. Brendan had commented recently that it felt like we always ended up eating the same things, which was true, so I grabbed a cookbook before I went shopping last weekend, and this was my branching out. I feel like with practice I could get much, much better at skinning and deboning chicken thighs. If anyone has any advice, let me know.

[livejournal.com profile] gerisullivan and I are starting to get excited about going to pick up Bill on Friday and checking out North Adams, MA, and maybe Mount Greylock. The MoCA looks particularly interesting.

I will be meeting Bill tomorrow at the top of Mount Greylock. He's already to North Adams. That boy eats miles for breakfast. :)

I will probably be out of touch with the rest of y'all for most of the weekend, so have a good one.

Rainy Day Reminders

Thank the trees for your shelter,
The grass for your air;
Thank the flowers for blooming,
The bees for their care;
Thank all the plants and animals
You eat—and when you’re done—
Oh, my child, don’t forget
To stop and thank the Sun!
