Friend lent me her Sookie Stackhouse series (True Blood) and I gave it a try. I thought the books were a bit juvenile. Too simple. Too predictable. I think I might have enjoyed them more when I was in Jr. High.

Cough, cough ...

Ginjer is a great editor, but she doesn't edit so much, these days. She's in charge of a line that publishes something like 180 books a year -- she doesn't have time to edit!

(So my books that she publishes are mostly edited by my agent, who used to be an editor at Avon-EOS a decade ago -- except when they're edited by my editors at Orbit or Golden Gryphon.)
