Despite some over-the-top gosh-wow, this is not a bad article on the current state of heads-up displays on wearable glasses and contact lenses by Anne Eisenberg over at the NYT.
When you see something like this onsale at Target, well. that's not a heads-up display, but it is video in glasses, which is still cool, though this is more stylish.
