Uhmm... yeah. While, on the one hand, I'm very happy that he lost... on the other hand, I just wanna say "Why would 46% of a population vote for someone who was just convicted on corruption charges?" (Outside of Louisiana. INSIDE Louisiana, I would just say "Oh? They convicted one?")
I actually have mixed feelings about this. I'm glad Begich won, and he'll be a great addition to the Senate, but the train-wreck of Stevens winning, getting tossed out of the Senate and being replaced by Sarah Palin had certain charms.
I'm very, very happy with the idea of the Republican party hitching their wagon to Sarah Palin for the next four years.
