small joys

The other day I celebrated the fact that the last batch of eggs I hard-boiled came out perfectly. Even days later the eggs peeled easily, and were a wonderful consistency.

Letting my cat lay on me while I read. I was neglecting the enjoyment that a pet can bring, and I've been enjoying all of the animals in this house a lot more. :)
