(no subject)

the sun was out at the start of the day

by the end of the day, the sky was gray

and I was gray with it

A striking image.

(And I hope you're feeling less gray by now...)

yes, thanks!

yesterday evening I almost stayed home while Bill and Mary went to the gym but then it occurred to me that I could go to the gym and read rather than lying around to read, and I figured that was more likely to get my energy up - and I was right!

oppressive optimism

it won't always be like this. there is a reason for february blues--something to do with vitamin D, maybe? but it passes. the spring comes, the sun us shining, and you can't imagine how you ever didn't feel so happy it hurts. it just takes time, so don't lose hope.

but...
A very wonderful woman once said, "wish I could be there, take you out for ice cream in the snow, let you know the whole world is crazy and cold, but it can still taste good that way."

I think that the same can be said of Gray. But then again, I do live in Seattle.
