Spam LJ comments

I just got three spam comments, from 193.253.55.70, 193.220.175.122, and 203.187.133.203 The spam comments (screened) were all links to poker sites that had random strings as the subjects of the posts. I've seen three other posts about LJ spam being up today. I encourage people to report (to your journal if nothing else) the IP addresses of the spammers. I don't really have time to follow up on them and I'm not really sure how to, honestly. The LJ FAQ talks about contacting someone's ISP, but it doesn't say how.

I re-read the restrictions mabfan is using and realized mine are slightly different since I do have anonymous comments allowed (no LJ account needed) but they're screened first. My setup is that friends comments show up automatically, those not on the friends list and anonymous people get screened.

I'd originally set it up to disable the anonymous posts, but my neighbor is SO determined to harrass me that they opened an LJ account just to be able to comment, so that's when I began the screening. I'm not sure whether to be flattered at the effort, or pity their lack of anything constructive to better use their time. I think I'll go with the latter.
