home page revisions

Bill had pointed out repeatedly that the tables on my web page tended to behave oddly, I felt the need to update the technology demonstrated on the front page, and I wanted it to look more like a personal page and less like a personal ad. So I pulled up the poem I wrote ages ago that used to live in my .plan at Grinnell and included a picture from last year's hike in Arizona. I pushed nearly all content to the index of the /me section and hopefully didn't lose any info or break any links. Also inspired by Rikhei's list of books she's read, I started a list of books I've read recently. Ideally I'll maintain it into the future. :)

Anyway, check it out and let me know what you think.

It's nice to have that clean "splash page" with the content behind it. I'd put a link in the image that also goes to /me/. The second-page layout is nice and clean; I'd suggest changes, but they'd probably just clutter it up. I like the color scheme.

By the way, what did you think of Idlewild?
