Are you ever convinced you wrote something, and then you can't find it?

I was sure I'd written up the story about the time I kicked Neil Gaiman and his Clarion students out of the bathroom at the Tor party at Anticipation so I could get in and get Paul Krugman a beer, but the closest I can find to such is the caption of this photo.

I swear I remember writing that out. Do you remember reading it?

I've gone through all my posts here in the year after Anticipation and I don't see it. I've tried googling for it and I'm getting nothing.

Maybe I've just told the story often enough it feels like I wrote it down.

I think you may have actually sent that one to me a long time ago. I remember you telling me about Neil almost walking into traffic.

hmm. I think I wrote that from my phone. I shall have to specifically search my sent mail.
