A Visual Illustration of "Bigger"

Rosie turned two on Saturday. Yesterday I took a picture of her at a local park and thought to myself, "Didn't I take a similar picture last year?" Yup, I did, at the end of October, 2011. Here's the comparison:

What a cool pair of pictures. Will you go back next year and take the same shot again? I think you should keep on doing it until Rosie heads off to college. Sort of the same idea as marking the kid's height in pencil on a doorway, but a lot more entertaining.

We don't expect to live here that long, but I am thinking I may try to do a pic like this each year until we move away.

You should do that every year, and it will be really funny at her 21st birthday party.

Yay growing girl! It's really amazing to watch them change and grow at this rate. Even in the relatively brief time we've lived here, A has grown physically and developed mentally and socially really dramatically.

She's become a confident toddler! My brother and his son (though not daughter) have that same curly hair.

The walnut tree is WAY behind. The drought didn't help, but it's leaves are healthy, seems to like the hot weather. Still only around two feet high.

Yay!! Happy Birthday, Rosie!
