Rosalind is 1 week old! So there should be photos!

I noticed that previous posts of pictures don't show our cute and clever girl with her eyes open, really, so we took some photos like that last night and this morning. enjoy.

As for us, we're still trying to figure out some irregularities in breastfeeding, but she's clearly growing, and, er, pooping plenty, so we're not too worried. And every day she changes. :)

Happy one week in this world, our darling daughter. How we celebrate you.

Indeed, the hospital gave me lansinoh and it was a lifesaver. Having the doula teach us the difference between "fluttersucking" and actual swallowing was quite useful. An early preference for the left breast seems to have led the right to under-produce. Working on that with pumping and fenugreek supplements.

I've also now tried the cabbage leaves in the bra thing for soothing and it seems to work too!

The cabbage leaves do help with engorgement, but they reduce your supply, too, so if you're having trouble you might want to hold off on that. It sounds like everything is going pretty well. She's a gorgeous baby.
