Having a good time at Windycon


TAFF and DUFF Candidates

Erik V. Olson picked me up at the airport last night around 6:30 and I've been having a lovely time ever since. Chris and I ran into each other and decided a TAFF and DUFF candidates photo was in order (above). Randy and Sheryl and I discovered that when we aren't running the con, we actually have time to sit and chat with each other (!) (ok, I'm doing Program Ops here, but it's not the same as being Chair, which I have done for ConFusion 3 times and Randy is doing in 2010 for Penguicon). Neil Rest brought us a 10 lb bar of dark chocolate to which we will happily take a hatchet at the Penguicon party tonight.

I also got to visit with Fredcritter and Laura from far away and CFG folks and Jer and Geralyn and Alex Von Thorne and John Wardale and.. lots of people! And it was only Friday!

I woke up early this morning as is my wont and am enjoying equally the internet access in the restaurant and this lovely ham and brocoli and cheese omelette. Today I will be mostly hanging out in the green room apart from setting up items to auction for TAFF in the art auction. and then in the evening, chocolate! ... I mean more parties and being social. right.

PS the necklace I'm wearing in the picture was made by Melanie of Earthenwood studio. I highly recommend you check out her stuff. It is most lovely. Today I am wearing one of her steampunk gear ceramic beads on a necklace cord.
