I've been noting the triumphalism by the idiots of the right over the Maine vote. It's quite passed over the result in Washington, which is, for all that it is not same-sex marriage is a big step forward.

I would note that turnout was low, and that there is plenty to be positive about including the continuing self-destruction of the lunatic right.
