TED talk: Chimamanda Adichie on the danger of the single story

I have seen a number of people link to this in the past few days but I only just now got a chance to view it. I knew I wanted to, however, because I read Adichie's novel Half of a Yellow Sun in 2006 when it came out. It was one of the best books I've ever read.

This talk did not disappoint me. She is an excellent speaker and she has an important story to tell. Better yet, she has many. I encourage you to take the time to listen.

Oh, I watched it about two weeks ago, that's an awesome talk, and I’ve touched it several times. There have been moments when you talk to people in some way and they just hear it in another way since their mind model and point of view is totally different from yours. It happens mostly among people with different cultures socializing together. She's brought up an interesting observation..
