What it's coming to.

So, a new RNC mailer from last week looks like this - with "Terrorists" on the front and an assertion inside that Obama thinks they just need a good talking to. Obama, who is also criticized out of the other sides of RNC mouths for saying that air strikes should be made inside Pakistan on terrorists if we have good intelligence that an important target is located there and we have the opportunity to take them out.

What was that phrase, "off with his head?" Sometimes I feel that way about the RNC in general. They are the terrorists. They are terrorizing my country with their messages of fear and hate and I want them to stop.

When asked if he was proud of the mailer, McCain said, "absolutely."

A donation page with pictures of the mailer, though, right? (I was feeling lazy and just used the link from the email from the dems, but when I follow it, it has pictures of the mailer (as well as a donation page). Is that not true for you?)

I guess. It's not readable, though.

ok. this huffington post article has better pictures (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/16/rnc-mailer-what-does-obam_n_135407.html). I'll replace the link.

Well, from what I heard on NPR this morning, McCain's high point in this campaign was when he ran the "Biggest Celebrity" ad. Give the man credit for learning what his constituents want to hear. Even if what his constituents want to hear is absolutely cringe-worthy. :-S

LOL

Heh. It reminds me of his line on Letterman about Palin (paraphrasing): "Speaking as someone who used to be on the cover of Time magazine... yeah... Not so much anymore. I got an offer from Popular Mechanics last week."

Back in sixth grade, we did a week or two on propaganda techniques. It has been fascinating to watch the Republicans deploy them this season.

Technique #1: Accuse your opponent of what you're guilty of.

Technique #2: The Big Lie. Lie so big that no one can figure out where to start in pulling it apart.

This is just another example of that.
