Sweets on my mind

While in Canada recently I discovered that Bounty bars are my new favorite commercial chocolate bars (my favorite non-bar chocolate right now is See's dark chocolate California Brittle).

Anyone coming to ConClave from Canada or other countries that carry Bounty can curry favors with me with such a chocolate bar. Just so you know.

If I'm coming directly from Canada, I'll see what I can do. What I saw in Germany, though, were dark-chocolate Bounty. I didn't try one, but it looked really interesting.

hmm... that would make it more like a mounds car, which I do like, but I particularly liked the milk chocolate-ness of the Bounty bars I just had.

Check the British-food sections of local shops. I've seen them locally - I think maybe in Busch's? Or World Market or Hiller's are a good bet.

A lot of the time, if you see Delicious Product X in Canada that isn't also found in the US, it's British or at least commonly sold in Britain.

I seem to recall seeing them at Hillers as well.

hmm.. I get to Hillers only very rarely. I shall try to remember to look there. Thanks!

I'm planning to stop in there for some grocery shopping when I return some things to Bed Bath and Beyond. Maybe Sunday. I can pick you up a couple Bounty Bars if I see any.

its been a long time since I looked closely at chocolate but Bounty sounds very familiar. I know it used to be available. Do they not sell it the US anymore?

I know that Hiller's, at least, has them. I'm pretty sure World Market does as well, as someone else mentioned.
