New Underwear Week!

Spread the word! The internationally celebrated holiday is upon us! New Underwear Week! The time to discard any underwear that has done its duty and deserves an honorable retirement and to purchase shiny (well, bright) new underwear to take its place. Treat yourself to new underwear this week!

Just in time for school starting. After all.

(Last year in honor of Half Naked Thursday I posted a picture of myself featuring new underwear. This year I will post another picture and I encourage everyone to join me in at least enjoying, if not revealing, new undies of their own.)

Heh. Oddly enough, I ordered a bunch of new underwear over the internets that should be arriving this week, and I had already decided to cast off the shackles of yesterday's bra forever. Timing!

As it happens, I need new underware, so I will get it this week in honor of the occassion!

I will not be posting pics of me in it because...well frankly, you all don't want to see that. Maybe by next year.

But I was actually thinking about getting new underwear a day or three ago. Go figure.

I did actually acquire the new underwear. I don't know if I did it in time for New Underwear Week...but I did put all the size-*ahem* underwear that no longer fit comfortably into the donation pile, and I'm pretty sure I did that on time. Most or all of it was in OK shape except not big enough of one.

Now to figure out how to HNT it when I've already worn it all and it's in the wash. I guess I'll work on ideas and take the shot later when it's been washed.

Oddly enough, I got so much new underwear (on the super cheap) earlier this year that I have sworn off any new underwear (or bras) until I really need it.
They put all the adorable Xmas undies on sale in July, for about $3 each. It was awesome. I also love wearing holiday socks at the wrong time of year.

But I like the idea, so I'll definitely tell other people.

Pathetic is having to sell off childhood toys on eBay to afford new clothes for school/student teaching.

Also - am in DESPERATE need of new underpants! ARGH!

Are you free at all during the day on Friday? Laura and I are talking about a shopping outing, and I'm thinking the outlet mall near Howell. Or you can tell me your size and we can pick you up something (a surprise! ha ha ha!).

I don't know if I'm free yet - it all depends on how tomorrow goes with my cooperating teacher. :(

I wear a size 22-26 pant, depending on the cut - when it comes to underwear, unless it's Lane Bryant (22/24 hipsters), I have no idea what size I wear. :(

I'll let you know if I'll be free Friday or not though, shopping would be nice. :)

I hit the very same outlet mall last Spring and got both Don and I some new underduds so I think I might have to sit out this round of undy-refurbishing.
