New Talk Hard! guest blogger

On Wednesday we had our first post on Talk Hard! by new guest blogger Sarah, How to talk about condom use with a partner who is resistant: common objections to using condoms and reasons you should use them anyway.

That post also received our first real comment on the web site, so that's very exciting. :)

The second comment on it is an ad, but after editing it to take the link off the poster's name and onto the product name, I let it stay, since it was relevant (it's an ad for a little carrying case that looks like a makeup compact but has a hidden pocket for condoms, which aside from the over-the-top fashion angle is not a bad idea), and was not worded in an overbearing way.

I went there expecting to see a one-sided representation of the reluctance to use condoms, and was pleasantly surprised. :)

It's excellent.

I don't know if any of my knowledge about birth and such would be useful for such a site, but I'm available.

Secret compartments are always an excellent idea.

I appreciate you allowing my ad to remain on the blog... my mom and I started this company and it is still just the two of us running it. It takes blogs like this to start the conversation about condom usage... when the CDC reports that 1 out of 4 teens has an STD, we need to stop and start talking about it. Yes abstinence should be a huge part of the "talk" but we also have the responsibility to arm everyone with facts and give them the ability to make wise choices.
Thank you for allowing my post, and keep up this great conversation!
I wish you much success, and many more comments!!
Best
Rachael

Link doesn't seem to load for me? (Neither the root talkhard link, nor the article link.)

And, posting about the problem seems to have fixed it. Doh.
