Things things things

Of all the physical things I've lost this year I think the ones I miss most often are my dark blue and black large soft hair scrunchies.

It's rare to find hair scrunchies that will hold a huge mass of hair such as mine yet pull out without taking considerable amounts of that hair with them, that go on easily, and that actually look nice. I still hope maybe they will show up, but in the meantime, I miss them.

Not very relevant, but I love the word 'scrunchie'. :-)

I think this one is from a button or bumper sticker or something like that, but I've always loved it: "Of all the things I've lost, I miss my mind the most."

I'm missing having the length of hair that would go into a scrunchie. Lately hair in my eyes all the time is bothering me.

Can you describe these scrunchies in greater detail? There is a flea market out here with a mind-boggling array of hair accessories and ornaments, and there's a not-terrible chance I could find a couple very much like the ones you miss and send them off to you.

That would be awesome! well, they're ... they give the impression of being about an inch wide in terms of the fabric casing that goes loosely around the elastic. The opening in the middle of the scrunchy is 2 or 3 inches wide - they have to be twisted three or four times to hold a ponytail. The fabric cover is a solid color, but it's a velvety sort of material, so it can be dressed up or dressed down, and the color doesn't seem too bold.

Does that give you some idea?

My hair is fine, wish it had more body. Easy to bind, though.
