Happy New Year

I had a lovely time last night. Probably the best New year's Eve since the one I spent at Joe and Deb's apartment for (I think) the '96/'97 transition.

Ah, Deb. One topping the list of beautiful amazing people we'll never forget.

Every year brings losses and gains.

May the coming year bring more of the latter than the former for you all, in whatever ways you count them.

The world outside is piled with snow here in Ann Arbor. It is quiet and still, and I am happy. May this kind of peace be shared, wherever you are.
