I, uh, feel like I just gave people who hate me some personal identifying information.

'scuse me while I go scrub my hands.

S'Why I filled it out the information "James Dobson, jdobson@family.org, Colorado, 80901".

:-D

One point to Miss Hamish! Er, I mean Misha. :D

[identity profile] mishamish.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
HEY! That's MISTER Miss Hamish to YOU, bunko! :-P

[identity profile] atdt1991.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, yes. :D I was just amused by my first impression!

[identity profile] dawnwolf.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:08 pm (UTC)(link)
That's why I used my throwaway email address.

[identity profile] atdt1991.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't get me wrong - I too used my spam email. I did, however, use my real name and zip code. Ah well.

[identity profile] mishamish.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)
It was all good until I clicked "Submit" and was subjected to the results.

I didn't need to know that. I really didn't.

[identity profile] atdt1991.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 05:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Funny enough, the first time I submitted I got a mysql error. Hmmmmm ... no -way- could the AFA be rigging their own poll!

[identity profile] mishamish.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:06 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh, they don't have to. I mean, the time will come when they are like "LOOK! We took a poll and people are 7-to-1 AGAINST businesses that push a homosexual agenda! Look right here! We have a POLL!"

Neverminding the fact that A) the poll question and it's lead-up paragraph are so biased as to be laughable and B) the sampling population is "people who visit the AFA website."

I'd hate to see the results if some "outsider" *HADN'T* seen it and brought other people around.

I think it's telling that even when I was a good little line-toeing church boy growing up in the conservative Deep South... I STILL hated the AFA.

[identity profile] atdt1991.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:15 pm (UTC)(link)
*nod* They don't, indeed, and yet, I wouldn't bet on it being technically correct, either - if the poll gets sweeped up by liberal populations outraged with the blatant bias and the conservative folk find it just another blah poll, they could find themselves in an embarrassing situation.

[identity profile] dawnwolf.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Those results are rigged - they only sent the poll out to their followers. Someone saw it and forwarded it to me and other, as I forwarded it and now Netmouse has done; that way, we begin to normalize their results a bit.

If they even choose to look at any results except the ones they want to see, that is.

[identity profile] mishamish.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:12 pm (UTC)(link)
No, they'll LOOK at them. The minority of dissenting voices will "legitimize" the results.

[identity profile] mbumby.livejournal.com 2007-04-25 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I did this a while ago and was quite distressed by what I saw as well.

[identity profile] boywhocantsayno.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
What were the results? I'm getting a "page not found" error now.

[identity profile] kyril.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 01:53 am (UTC)(link)
I tried it, and it didn't come up at all.

[identity profile] markeyisapunk.livejournal.com 2007-04-26 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
unfortunately, it looks like the page has been pulled.
