Support your local Animal Shelter

This came up on the SEMGS list:

The Dearborn Animal Shelter could use donations of plastic grocery bags, pill or vitamin bottles, and/or newspapers. Also, if you have blankets/towels/washclothes/linens that you're not using, they could use those too. The puppies will love you.

(I understand they use the pill bottles to send home medicine with people adopting animals. I would suppose other animal shelters could make use of similar supplies. So if, like me, you always hate throwing such things away and wonder if there isn't something better to do with them, now you know!)

We have lot of plastic shopping bags. I've been saving them until our neighbor takes them to the scrap box. If you want remind me and I can give them to you at the Stilyagi party.
