I have two interview-type things this week! One of them is with a firm that's not hiring right now, but it's walking distance from my house, so I might consider switching to them later if they offer me a position.

I feel like my database web programming skills are very rusty and out of date. hrm. What to do, what to do?

Good luck with the interviews! At worst, they'll be good practice; at best, maybe you'll find the perfect job within walking distance...

Get some chintzy certification? In my experience, most firms hire to the certificate and seem to forget about skill.

But I'm not bitter or anything. :-P
