Honesty with ones self is often the hardest honesty to [word]*.

*many words came to mind with this. Have, face, believe, etc... But self-honesty is often very difficult. I agree with you and H. Beam Piper's Fuzzy that true honesty begins with the self.

Besides the general deepness of the quote, I have to applaud your choice of authors. It's unfortunate that almost everything he wrote is out of print now, other than the "Fuzzy" series.
