(no subject)

I guess it's been a while since I made a public post. btw, if I know you and I haven't friended you, comment here to hit me with a clue-bat. If I don't know you but you'd like to be on the F-list, feel free to comment as well (a small poem or interpretive dance may convince me).

Bill's about 3 weeks out and I'm eager to have him home. Staying busy and trying to get/keep my spirits up despite continued grey and rainy weather. Pilates yesterday. Guitar class tonight, and then dinner with a friend thursday. Expecting to see both Rikhei and Mary this weekend, which will be good.

Brendan just took a vanload of stuff to Laura, so there may be enough space to get my saw out and play with it in the garage now. Especially if I finish sanding the bookshelves that are on the worktable in there. hrm.

Can you believe Thanksgiving is next week? My Aunt will be in town so we'll all be up at Grandma's. First thanksgiving since 1996 without Bill there. But-- home soon. Right. Looking forward to seeing what-all of his friends may come for a "back from the trail" party for him. dunno when he'll schedule that.

(Lj just ate this comment; I will try again.)

(a small poem or interpretive dance may convince me).

As I am already friended, this is irrelevant, but: one of my freshman physics classmates was a math major, dance minor. She decided to do a birthday interpretive dance for another of our classmates, at the end of the lecture period. My advisor's face was a study: he didn't know whether to be amused or appalled at the leaping and twisting going on at the front of his nice clean physics lecture hall.

You are on my friend list, but I don't think I am on yours. I wanted you to know that I enjoyed your updates during the time leading up to the election and afterwards. You have a great way of putting things.

See you in January at ConFusion.

I totally can't effin' believe it, actually.

I don't think I'm no your f-list, and I'm pretty sure you do know me. ;)

I haven't left yet. Well, I did. But then I lost a tire. Well, I didn't lose it so much as it decided it didn't want to stay together. Frankly, it made me want to fall apart, too. So, new tire acquired, and will be leaving as soon as my phone is charged. If I HAD left without charging it, it would have died before I got to Chicago, and I'd have gotten lost somehow. And then I would have just fallen over and died.

Soon: charged phone and leaving. *sigh*

All I want, more than anything in the world is to nap, however.

CLUEBAT! :)

See, I've been trying to think of something that would very specifically remind you of who I am... you stayed in my apartment when you were on that road trip with your sister, and used all my quarters for the laundry. Which I totally would have forgotten about by now, except that you mentioned it in your retelling of the trip. :)

I am actually not sure if I'm on your f-list or not... and I'm too lazy to check.. :P

It's Jer, a fellow ankle sprain sufferer... :)

Bonk!

Thanks for the info on artists, btw.

Entitled, "Ode to a Friend"

[identity profile] thatguychuck.livejournal.com 2006-11-15 08:48 pm (UTC)(link)
[music begins] < tippie-toes, arms stretched high, head facing up > < leans left, prances left five steps with arms still high > < bows, arms lower and body crouches, walks into the lean, slanting right > < right, left, right left > < spins, turning quickly backward and prances in the direction from whence he came >

There's more, but you did imply a short interpretative dance. It's currently unfinished, as any good friendship is.

The F-List

[identity profile] olganunes.livejournal.com 2006-11-16 11:30 pm (UTC)(link)
I would love to do an interpretative dance for you. Possibly it would involve tiny cheeky monkeys, and the juggling of guavas. Definitely it would involve lots of emphatic gesturing, and a yodeling rendition of Harry Belafonte's Shake, Shake Senora.

And anyway, we've met. You may remember me from such films as We Performed A Voodoo Ritual Together, or, How To Bond In Under Four Minutes Flat.

*tickle ;)
