Me smiling

Me smiling

A couple folks have expressed curiousity about the new haircut, professionally done eyebrows, etc. So here's a picture of me this morning. There's another picture of me posted to flickr, too, if you feel like going to see it. I'm not so much smiling in that one as looking intent.

In fact, you don't really look different.
Is this a ten year old picture?

However, that younger me was often mistaken for being older than she was, whereas the me of a month ago, who nearly always pulled her hair back in a barrette or a ponytail, was often mistaken as being 5 to 10 years younger than I am. I'd gotten a little sick of that.
I will look older once the dyed parts of my hair grow out and get cut off - I had my hair highlighted lighter blond to play Buffy a couple years ago and then had to dye my hair subsequent times as the highlighted part grew out, to blend it with my natural color, which is an ever-darkening light brown, now just starting to be flecked with grey.

really?
ok, if I have any secrets, they are these:
Noxema (which I use as a daily face and neck moisturizer after showering), and the rock-hard belief that baring accidents I will live to be at least 115 years old, so I am in fact quite young.
(I am only an egg)
I really think the hair dying has a huge effect, too, though.
(I have quite a few ancestors who reached 100, so 115 is not much of a stretch given my genes and modern medicine).
