Dance Music Recommendations

When I was at the club on Friday, I have to admit I was impressed when the video changed from Whitney Houston, who can barely move to a rhythm, to Britney Spears, who can really dance. I was wondering if any of you know, if I was going to get a Britney Spears album, for to dance to, what should I get?

(other dancing album recomendations also welcome. )

:) Funny, isn't it? For all the ways she's completely useless, she really, really can dance.
I don't know enough to have any albums to recommend, though.

I have the Greatest Hits album, I'd suggest that since the others have a considerable amount of mushy stuff on them which ain't much good for dancing.

Hi!

Hi Anne,

How are you? Glad Bill's back on the trail! It's refreshing for me to hear someone say that Britney Spears is talented, because she is! I'm used to people criticizing her when, by contrast, it's obvious that she's an elite performer. Happy dancing!

Anne, if you use iTunes, just buy whichever songs of hers you like.

My favorites are pre-KFed Britney.

Ooops, I Did it Again
Hit Me Baby One More Time
Lucky
Not a Girl (ok, not a dance song but it's cheesy and I love it)

Also, other Former Mickey Mouse Club popster, Justin Timberlake is awesome.
Justified is a great album.

Wow. You'd never know I was in my 30's. I'm almost ashamed, but not really.

Mmm... Sour Deluxe... "you've been watching me for hours, you've been wanting to for years..."

YOu might try hitting up the scrumptious Porkfactornine on my friends list for dance tunes; he's got some serious eclectic (read: not a snob about mainstream if it's good) game.

I have at least two you can borrow. But I think all of them have some ballads which are not so much with the dancing. In any case, let me know anytime. ;)

I think old funk records (The Barkays, Old Kool and the Gang, Earth Wind & Fire, etc.) are the most fun to dance to.
