There's some spot on my toe that's irritated when I walk. When I poke my toe with my finger, it all feels fine. But when I walk, it hurts. I'm not even totally sure which toe it is...
I bought new shoes recently, and have had that problem with one of my toes. My shoe is bruising it horribly. I think things are starting to get better, but it still hurts. Unlike you though, I can localize it to a particular toe.
Perhaps yours isn't a toe, but a tendon or muscle. That might only respond to being pulled on or stretched while you're walking, and would respond to pushing on much. It would also be hard to localize.
