Why I Don't Drink Tea Very Often

Because I don't trust it not to be, well, hot. Because I made it hot, and it keeps steaming suspiciously and, well, I'm a wuss when it comes to hot things in my mouth.

That said, I am enjoying a new Throat Coat tea that [livejournal.com profile] tammylc turned me onto. I don't think it's helping my throat as much as a full night's sleep would have, but what can you do? There were street sweepers, with the beeping and the noise. and that was clearly more important than any sleeping that was trying to happen before the dawn.

One thing I do when I have tea is drop an ice cube in to it. By the time the ice cube is all gone the tea is cooled to a nice, hot temperature without being scalding.

I was re-reminded of that particular tea this morning. It occured immediately after I walked in, saw a co-worker, and whispered out, "Hi" at a very low volume. She immediately reached into her desk and handed me the box of tea.

Technically, I can speak. It's just really difficult. Thankfully I feel better than I sound.

Well now my tea is cold. That's no good either.

I hope you feel better quickly. Rest lots.
