going back to not talking

Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday I did a fair amount of talking. Today I feel about like I did a week ago Monday, including having sleep interrupted by coughing. Yesterday I called my doctor so I'm hoping for a call back today. In the meantime, having done a little bit of reading on the subject, I'm going back to "resting my voice" status.
