I'm afraid I'm not a very smart guy -- especially when it comes to politics and government and stuff -- so I'm afraid I have no answers. However, I thoroughly agree with you that we need to do what we can to prevent Bush the evil madman from having his way. (Hmmmm. I just noticed that "Bush the evil madman" scans with "Puff the magic dragon." Anyone care to commit filk?)
I suspect our ability to act was weakened when we allowed the Pretender to assume the Throne Presidency.
I did and will again vote for Senators Wellstone and Dayton, which might help slightly, but beyond that I just don't know. If somebody comes up with a reasonable idea that might work, I'd be willing to pitch in, that's for sure.
