Vacuum Store Recommendation

Just a note to recommend The Vacuum Store if you need to get your vacuum clearn repaired. We took our upright vaccuum cleaner there last month and got a new belt and an overhaul for just $32 and the vacuum works, as Bill put it, one and a half times better than before.

That's The Vacuum Store, 2380 Dexter Ave, in Ann Arbor - just East of the intersection of Dexter and Stadium, across from Vets park and next to Knights restaurant. (734) 761-2880.

The young proprieter was very nice and helpful. They also have a person they send work to who does Sewing Machine Repair.

What timing ! Yesterday I got some advertising, it doesn't say what its about except that it a bargain. Now I see the single word KIRBY printed off to one side without any connnection to the rest of the card. So, I call the number and ask what's its all about. Thewy start to give me a pitch on buying a new kirby and I say "Oh, I don't need one. MY Mother bought a kirby when they first came out in l922, when she died I inherited it and it still works perfectly". The clerk thanked me and hung up.

Your timing may be perfect.

Today I was repairing my sewing machine motor after I got off work. Tomorrow (after I fix my repair) I'll be installing it in the sewing machine that came with the house. In theory it will work. If it doesn't and I can't fix it, it's certainly worth taking this one in to have it repaired. It's a nice old Singer, and solid as a rock. :)
