Had a nice evening yesterday -- came home from test-driving a Kia (can you say free Lord of the Rings DVD?) having stopped at Westgate just in time to get off the road during the fiercest rain (my windshield wipers don't work). Picked up my photos and went into the library to look at them. Read the newspaper and Harpers magazine until the rain stopped, then made a quick grocery stop and went home. Edited ConJose pocket program text until Bill got home (unexpectedly early at around 8 - he had dinner with some visiting work people) then went back to editing until 9. Watched Smallville while cooking and eating my salmon and pasta and leftover veggies. Bill went to bed early and I kept editing until after midnight -- at first on the bed to keep him company while he fell asleep, and then back to the desk 'cause using the laptop while lying on the bed was giving me a crick in the neck.

Woke up this morning to find all my suggested program item title changes had been approved. Working in different time zones can be fun that way. Bill asked if I could wake him up somehow, so I went down and put on C&C Music Factory's Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now) really loud (which is about -12 on our amp) and came back upstairs and danced him out of bed. It was a nice way to start the day. :)

Do you actually have to show any interest? Or sign anything? I mean, can you just test-drive it, take the DVD and disappear?

I don't know if you *have* to show interest. I definitely did show interest - test drive the Rio, asked some questions, also looked at another model on the display floor, and I had to ask for my dvd thing - there's a sign by the door as you come in, but they certainly made no move to offer it to me.

(it's a cool holographic card with directions on the back for how to call and get your DVD)
