My friend Joe Conat has released a new issue of his semi-regular column You'll All Pay with its usual amusing and ass-kicking assessment of recent events in politics and the world.

Hopefully we *aren't* doomed, but at least somebody's keeping an eye on things.

Let me check our august schedule. I think we have a wedding to be at August 12.

I am rather tempted to be in town around September 22 but we have no plans in place so far. It would be great to see you though. Cake or no :)

Also, Bill is coming in from the west and will be in town next weekend (July 4 weekend)

Well, cake would be to share with the reason you'd be in town. If you get my drift? Always good to see you, but I don't believe I concealed my pouts at having to share last time you were in town!

Hm... next time you're here nominally with Bill, maybe I can entice you up here for a sleepover? They have this bar called the Safe House sort of near Milwaukee that I'd like to go with a girlie-type friend, and I don't have many left above the legal age!
