Wish list

Due in part to work, I've been adding things to my amazon wish list. It occurs to me that I've never mentioned here that I have one. it's at http://amazon.com/gp/registry/1738PWYQ6PJ14

Do you have a wish list? promote it here!

Amazon Wish List at http://www.amazon.com/gp/registry/registry.html/104-4498319-4173556?id=WYCP6HQWO4ZB, but there's not much on it. Not since we got all five years of Babylon 5... :)

I splurged once and bought the Prisoner set. What a great series!

Yeah, I've seen the whole series several times in bits and pieces over the years, and I think that it remains, minute for minute, the most *fascinating* series ever put on television. My wife hasn't seen it yet (except for watching part of the last episode without seeing any of the others - the poor thing!) and I want to get the boxed set so we can see it together. My only hesitation at this point is wondering whether it might be a good idea to get the boxed sets of McGoohans original "Danger Man" series and see those first. I've heard all kinds of good things about it. Have you by chance seen it?

Also had the opportunity to vacation in Portmeirion, the town in Wales where "The Prisoner" was filmed. *Very* odd place, but that's another entry... :)

No, I've never seen Danger Man. One of these days, though!

I would love to visit Portmeirion. Others have told me about it, too.

It really is quite the place. A Italian style town no one lives in, constructed and painted with optical illusions, conceived and built by an (arguably) mad architect, and located in a strange sub-tropical coastal pocket of Wales. You can't make stuff like that up!

And oh yes, the play "The Prisoner" 24 hours a day on one of the hotel's cable channels. :)
