I can hear the rain...

It's raining. I heard this odd sound which took a while to register and then a while for me to figure out was the sound of rain hitting the skylight that is above me. In my old workplace, we could see the rain, but we couldn't hear it at all (partly because we always had the radio on).

I like the sound of the rain. It's soothing. It makes me feel at home. There's something cozy about being in, out of the rain.

Have I mentioned I like my new job?

I've always liked the sound of rain; I think it's soothing, and it helps me go to sleep.

I'm glad you like your new job. :)

I had a skylight right over my bed in a townhouse I used to live in. You could lay there and watch the rain hit it and listen to the drops falling at the same time. Blissful....

Yay! (:

I am *very* glad to hear that you're settling into the new job and liking it. (:

Probably helps knowing some of your coworkers, too. (:

That it does! less of that "will they like me, will they invite me to lunch with them?" kind of shyness and getting settled in the social scene. Still some, of course, but less.
