and another icon

I'm not sure I'm happy with this one, but it does look like me.

Taken by myself in front of a painting by my sister. (The painting is unfinished but she has long since moved out of town. It is informally titled "Olympic Salad" and was painted the summer of 1996, during the summer olympics. We have it hanging in our kitchen.)

No complaints here. And if that looks like you (and hence, you look like that)... what complaints do you have with it?

well, my smile seems a bit slantwise and the flahs seems too bright. And really, I'm not that good at looking at pictures of me. But so far people have been complementary, so I guess it stays.

Why are you not sure if you're happy with it?

why am I not sure if I;m happy with it?

The flash seems too bright - there's glaring bright points off my glasses, and the highlight on my cheeks makes me look tired. I've sort of been unhappy with how the tops of my cheecks took in general when I smile lately, though, and this is by no means the worst example.

Also, my smile seems a bit crooked. If I smile like that I hadn't been aware of it before.

I see. I hadn't noticed these things until now. Personally, I agree with the others here. :^) I think these do not detract very much. However, if you think it would be improved by adjusting the highlights, please send me the full photo and I will retouch it for you.

What's not to like about that userpic? Except that it may cause LJ readers to hit on you?
