I am amused to note that the instructions from the hospital warn me not to make any decisions or sign any legally binding documents for 24 hours after surgery.
Isn't deciding not to sign a legally binding document a decision?
After my back surgery, I was amused that as my doctor handed me a form for a handicapped hang tag which stated I could walk no further than 100 feet, he informed me that he wanted me to be able to walk a mile within a month.
