I hadn't even heard of this service. Thanks for the review. It sounds as though it might be useful for some people but it strikes me that the size of the groups to which those people belong might be pretty limited.

There are other organizations that deliver but don't package ingredient amounts (at least, not without exorbitant rates for dieting help added on). I wonder whether Hellofresh ingredients are more varied than those carried by food stores in some areas. It could be good for people who want to learn about various aspects of cookery and/or meal planning without having to start from nothing. I can see how it might hit the intersection of people who don't have a lot of time for shopping but who want to make time for cooking.

The overpackaging thing seems to be run contrary to my idea of those groups but maybe I don't know their market as well as they do.
