It's been a quiet weekend. We didn't go see the third Lord of the Rings movie yet, but last night we did watch The Count of Monte Cristo on DVD, which was good. We spent some time yesterday going through photos at mom and dad's house. Still didn't get to many pictures about the time period I can't remember, but we got close. I'm beginning to get familiar again with how my face looked when I was 9 or so. It changed a lot when I was in junior high. It's changed a lot since, too.

Sometimes I look in the mirror and don't feel like I recognize myself. I was thinking maybe I'd go back to having bangs. It might be a nice change.

Did TCoMC seem really dark to you? There were some scenes where it was actually hard to discern what was taking place on screen. We couldn't tell if it was a filmmaking choice, or if the xenon lamp in the projector where we saw it was drying or set too low.

Which version of the Count of Monte Cristo did you watch? I imagine the 2002 version (I'm partial to the 1934 version).

The only time I look in the mirror and suffer the disassociation you describe is when I shave off my moustache, which I try to avoid doing.
