I have a small bell, it's reasonably loud but kinda annoying. And I do remember you singing "Fairy Story" quite well--you'd do fine against Tom unless you've gotten amazingly rusty in the past ten years. I'd suggest you come down to a filk circle some time, but you're a morning person and that's a late night kind of thing. If I were singing something in that direction I'd probably have to pull out "Two Guys Kissin' (Ruined My Life)". ('bout time...) Tom also has "The Ballad of Rupert the Swishy", for which I don't have the melody, but it's much more similar to "Fairy Story".

I actually bought a Tom Smith CD from Tom himself at ConClave...he signed it...I'll never wash that CD again. And then I wound up playing Advanced Tom Smith Substitute (cf. Advanced Tea Substitute and Tom Smith) at the filk circles Friday and Saturday nights since he wasn't feeling well enough to actually stay anywhere near that late. As you may know if my LJ post didn't get lost amidst the wash of everyone else's--and if you didn't see it, you now know pretty much everything in it.
